Had a great birthday

So I had a great birthday this year and my wife spoiled me with baseball cards and recording gear that I will be able to use for online recording sessions (once I figure out how to use it). Busy week coming up. Army band drill on the 7th and 8th plus playing a wedding on the night of the 7th and a piano recital on the night of the 8th. Going to Vegas with the Army band on the 10th and 11th for a Veterans Day Parade and we are going to submit a video of it to try for the Rose Parade in 2011. Alhambra Date Night on every Wednesday (except for the 11th) right in front of the Drumming Uncut Studio where students are invited to come out and play with the band. After all of this, things will ease up and I will be focusing more on teaching and cutting back on gigs.

June 16,2009

Today I had a very enjoyable first lesson with a new student David. I'm very excited about this student. He almost completely ambidextrous, a great gift to have for a drummer. New business cards will be finished this week and new group classes may be starting soon. Recital planning still going well.

Drumming Uncut first blog June 10, 2009

So a ton of things going on and scheduleing is becoming very difficult. Working on a recital for August 8th where most of my students will be performing with a band for the first time ever. Also, teaching summer classes for a few recreational depatments in the area (Pasadena City College, City of Arcadia, City of Glendale) while doing the Army Reserves Band (300th Army Band) which has me scheduled to travel to Oklahoma for 2 weeks right in the middle of July which conflicts with the classes in a major way. It also forces my students to have to practice on their own and prepare for the recital without me for those days and that makes me a bit nervous. Picked up 3 new students in the past month and business is going well.
